As a culinary instructor, I feel that it is a part of my job description to educate my students about where to purchase good quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Over the years, I have developed a list of favorite grocers and food sellers. I hope you will enjoy shopping at these establishments as much as I do. Tell them that Mary sent you!!!

For over a decade, I have been raving about the quality, great prices and global selection of fruit and vegetables at Randazzos. Not a gourmet market with heirloom tomatoes, or wild mushrooms, just a great selection of fresh produce.
Blocks Farm Market
21960 Eureka Road, Romulus, MI Ph: 734-941-9388
Seasonal open area market south of metro airport. Open from mid-July through fall. Great prices. Stuff a bag of corn for $2.99 (on average). My best effort was 30 ears of corn per bag. Dont be embarrassed corn stuffing is encouraged there, and its fun. Also, good prices on pickling pickles, squash and bottled spices. Do NOT speed on Eureka Rd. It is heavily patrolled!!
