Welcome to Taste: A Cook's Place,
culinary instructor Mary Spencer's new cooking school located inside Epiphany Kitchens, at 107 N. Center St., in downtown Northville, MI.
The Taste culinary school will provide a special cooking class experience featuring:
Typically classes are offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Epiphany Kitchens, 107 N. Center St., Northville, MI.
Epiphany Kitchens is located in downtown Northville near the northwest corner of the main intersection of Main and Center Streets (Center is also an extension of Sheldon Road). There is parking on the street and there is a large public lot behind the store.
Classes are normally $45.00 per person, per class, unless food costs require a small additional charge.
Classes consist of 5 or 6 recipes. All recipes are printed out and given to each student to follow during class.
Instructor Mary Spencer demonstrates preparation of the recipes in a goumet kitchen featuring a La Cornue stove and ovens.
Students are given a generous sampling of each dish prepared.
Please feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.
No other alcohol beverages can be brought to the class.

Students come away from a Taste class having received recipes they can use for a lifetime, a complete meal and an entertaining, educational evening.
The newly conceptualized Taste: A Cook's Place also offers a wide range of unique culinary resources for the home chef and food lover. Food tours of Ann Arbor, MI., and Eastern Market have already been held, and tours of Mexican Town, area Asian Markets, and Dearborn are planned.
Taste can also provide menu planning services, classes for corporate team building and private parties, and heirloom recipe research. A student loyalty program is in place and a food blog is in the works.
Mary Spencer's passionate love of "all things food" inspired her to attend over 200 cooking classes. Her culinary transcript includes plus 20 cooking classes from renowned chefs Jacquest Pepin, Giuliano Bugialis and Milos Cihelka. Her personal cookbook library numbers over 5,500+ volumes. She has now taught over 300 separate classes on a tremendously wide range of culinary topics, including lectures at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
